The David Andrew Trio shoot was a fun one and wouldn't have come about if not for a cafe we like to hang out at. We were talking to our good friend Vanessa (who owns the aforementioned cafe) about shooting a new video and she mentioned an abandoned retail store across the road. Long story short, we got permission, picked up the keys and walked in around 7pm on a Monday night. We wanted to compliment the industrial nature of the space so set up a few pallets that were lying around as a drum and bass cab rider. Everything else was how we found the place when we walked in. The whole thing was shot with 2 shooters using 3 x 120 watt halogen lights that we just moved around as we needed. We'd already made the decision to cut the video in B&W so the halogens created some nice high contrasts and threw some really cool shadows on the back walls. We all walked out of there round 2am and are pretty happy with the results. Super happy with how this video came out!!! Double Shot are a great wedding and events band from Sydney's north west. When they got in touch to ask about a new promo, we jumped at the chance. From that point on, it was go time, the audio was recorded and mixed and the video shot and edited in just 2 weeks. 2 weeks from phone call to finished product. This was a 4hr shoot and a day and a bit in the editing suite. the band were total pros and made picking the best cuts all the more difficult. Had a great time shooting this video with Jets Music. We shot the whole thing over 3 hours at Gunners Barracks in Mosman, Sydney. The Jets Music guys had already tracked all their audio so we shot the whole thing to playback.
